Over time, memorials can begin to look faded and suffer from damage due to the weather and general wear and tear. At G.B Newell & Sons Ltd, as well as creating new memorials, we can also re-paint or re-gild existing inscriptions that may have faded over time.

We can add inscriptions to existing headstones but in most cases this would involves the removal of the memorial from the cemetery or churchyard. However, we are fully equipped to add inscriptions at the graveside if necessary. This is usually required for extra large memorials.

When a memorial is to be renovated it is always necessary for one of our experienced staff to inspect the memorial before the work commences. We are then able to compile a report of all the work that will be needed in order to restore the memorial to its original condition.
